Misty started at Petsmart as a dog trainer and after 2 years started grooming in 2005. She then went to run the grooming program at Pet Palace where she worked at all 3 locations and established their grooming business.
She has attended Nash Academy for specialized dog grooming training and continues to take continuing education classes throughout the year. She also teaches other groomers in both group and one on one settings. You can purchase these other services at https://designer-paws-salon.square.site.
With her dog training background she is better equipped to work with very shy and aggressive dogs. She does not sedate any pets in her care and will not work on a pet that has been sedated. She will work with your pet and go at the pace they are most comfortable with. If your pet has any special needs please don’t hesitate to let her know as this will change her approach in how she will handling your pets grooming visit to ensure a happy visit for your beloved pet.
To ensure that pets in her care are well looked after even in a case of emergency Misty is always up to date on her Pet CPR and First Aid. Her last PetTech certification was in 2021.
She owns one standard show poodle, Zeus, two show Kerry Blue Terriers, Ateryu and Anubis.
